Day 8: another snow day

Breakfast was 85g of beer bread, for a cost of $0.25 and 185 calories.

Lunch was left over pasta primavera, the only difference being I remembered to add the Parmesan cheese. So to yesterday's $2.54, I add $0.18 for parmesan. Total calories: 484.

I had a bag of peanuts as a snack in the early afternoon ($0.50; 255 calories), and later in the afternoon I had 40g of raisins ($0.43,120 calories).

Dinner was more kielbasa, half a can of peas, 3 oz of carrots, and corn bread made from a mix I bought at Downtown Discount Beverage on Saturday.

Dinner  Quantity   Cost   Calories
kielbasa 3.00  $0.94 270
peas 1.00  $1.10 118
carrots 3.10  $0.39   40
corn bread 1.00  $0.16 170
egg (in corn bread)  1/6  $0.05   13
milk (in corn bread) 0     $0.02     5

 $2.57 616

I couldn't find a muffin pan to bake the corn muffins in, but I did find a mini-donut baking pan. The cups looked like individual bunt pans, so the muffins actually had an indent in the bottom, like the bottom of a wine bottle. It made them really easy to stack.

In the evening after dinner I had an orange ($0.99; 65 calories) and 1 oz of almonds ($0.66; 180 calories).

I also drank about 6 tbsps of coffee - or about 10 cups because I make it weak for a cost of $0.56 and about 11 calories.

Day totals:

Cost: $8.08
Calories: 1,912
weight: 170.1

Since it was a snow day, I walked on the treadmill for 80 minutes, and then went snowshoeing for the first time for 30 minutes or so. Calories burned:761 for a net caloric intake of 1,151.
